Manic Monday

Summer is officially over and we are in back to school mood. The kids are trying to adjust to 6:30am wake ups, We are just about back to our "normal" routine. (whatever that might be) Sara is loving Pre-K and Evan is enjoying his new classroom and teacher.

I have started on a new journey and set a goal for myself. I am working on running a 5k. Someone is encouraging me to run more (Amber)  so I can be their running partner. I am running my first 5k as an adult in September. I am going to see how that goes and before I decide if I want to run anymore than that distance. I'm thrilled to be running after a major foot surgery in December.

Chad is settling good in the new job! He was able to meet all the players and parents tonight. I am exited for him and to see how the upcoming baseball season will go!

Keep Sara in your thoughts next week, she will be having her eye surgery. They are correcting her lazy eyes. The plan is to correct it and hopefully be able to get her out of her glasses.

Hope this week flies by. Today was really long for some reason.

Sara learned to write her name this week!
Evan washed the table with his napkin and sweet tea

I finally hit 3.2 miles! Yay me! I will run a 5k!!!!

3rd Place and Proud!

Today was the annual Georgia State Duck Call Contest. Chad participated for his second year in a row. He did a fantastic job! He blew three great rounds! They were about as perfect as you could get. However the judges just didn't see it that way. We will be happy to take 3rd place and there is always next year. He did walk away with some great prizes. We also were able to spend the day with some great friends! He will be back next year and hope to do even better!

Chad's friend Chris (who taught him every thing he knows) also participated today. He did a great job as well! Notice they were matchers!

Ducks Unlimited Yeti Cooler! One of his prizes :)

Afterwards eating some lunch!

While the judging was questionable Chad did a fantastic job! Can't wait to see how next year goes!
