So if you have not heard or seen it on Facebook Chad has accepted a new job! He is now the head baseball coach of Jackson High School! The school is right down the road so we can stay in our home and I can continue working at my current job.
The past 4 years have been fantastic at Alcovy High School! We have made some really great friends and it will be hard not to be around for the baseball season. I will miss my baseball buddies and the great times we always have.
We are looking forward to our new adventure and I am super proud of Chad. I think he will do a great job! Wish us luck on our new journey!

Summer
I realized today how long it has been since I have posted anything. We are over halfway through our summer break and it has been a fun and busy one!
We started off the summer with an adult only trip to the beach with 15 of our closest friends. This was the first time that Chad and I have left the kids behind to go on a trip. We headed down to the beach for a week. We had a fantastic time!
My sweet Sara then had to have surgery. Sara had one of the two surgeries she will be needing. She had tubes in her ears and adenoids removed. After a quick recovery she is back to normal. She will be having her second surgery on her eyes on August.
At the end of June one of my best friends and I got the chance to travel to New York with my step-mom. We spent 4 days hitting the streets while she was busy at work. We crammed as much sight seeing as possible. It was a great trip and we are looking forward to our next trip!
We plan on soaking up the sun at the pool for the last few weeks we have before it is back to work time. We have one more beach trip planed in September over fall break.

Weekend Wrap Up
I realized yesterday that is has been a while since I have been on here. We have been really busy over the past few weeks. We are now officially on Summer Break. We do not have to return to back to work until July 28. (You can be jealous!) However the summer will fly by. Sara will be having surgery and we have a couple of trips planed.
This weekend was spent in Alabama at my mom's lake house. Here are a couple of pictures.

Random Wednesday
Today is a big day! My baby and little man turns 3! I can't believe he is already 3. I sent him off to school this morning with cupcakes for his friends. We spent the afternoon pool side. We are having his party on Saturday with family.
We took Sara down to Emory today for her consultation with her new eye doctor. She will be having eye surgery later this summer. My wonderful dad was able to go with us and treated us to a yummy lunch at the Varsity!!
This is our new favorite show.
We have until next Friday for Summer Break. Looking forward to out adults only beach trip in a few weeks!

Weekend Wrap Up
Friday night I helped my dear friend Alisha and many other teachers chaperone the 8th
grade dance. This was the first year she
was handed the responsibility of “putting” on the dance. She did a fantastic
job She should be a party in planner in her next life. The kids had a great
time. I have to say she looked amazing
too!
Saturday we head to Tyrone I went to a baby shower for my
wonderful friend Lauren who is expecting her first baby.

Better Late Than Never
This week has been long and I am over it. This week has been
the week of doctors’ visits. Long story
short Sara will be having two surgeries this summer. She will be having tubes
in her ears and having her adenoids removed. She will also be having corrective
surgery on her eyes. So please keep her
in your thoughts over the next couple of months.
Evan came down with a sinus infection on Sunday so he was
out of sorts until Tuesday.
Sara woke up this morning feeling yucky and now has a cold
as well. We are hoping she will be back to herself tomorrow.
I am ready for things to be normal again!

And so it begins.......
I walked in the door this afternoon to hear my favorite
sound. My husband was blowing his beloved duck call. Sometimes I feel like we
should name it and it should be our third child. We are now in full swing of
preparing for the Georgia State Duck Calling Competition. The competition is not until August but we
must start practicing now.
| The beloved duck call |
All sarcasm aside, Chad really enjoys the duck hunting and the calling contest. I have to say that I am proud of him even though it drives me crazy. Last year was his first contest and he came in 4th place. Hopefully this year will be even better!
In case you are wondering what a calling contest sounds like. Click the link below and you can watch a clip from last year.
