Weekend Wrap Up

Friday night I helped my dear friend Alisha and many other teachers chaperone the 8^th grade dance.  This was the first year she was handed the responsibility of “putting” on the dance. She did a fantastic job She should be a party in planner in her next life. The kids had a great time.  I have to say she looked amazing too! 

Saturday we head to Tyrone I went to a baby shower for my wonderful friend Lauren who is expecting her first baby. 

Then we had a great family cook out celebrating my wonderful mom!

I am happy to report that everyone is feeling good again! We only have TWO weeks until summer break! We have a big birthday coming up this week!

Better Late Than Never

This week has been long and I am over it. This week has been the week of doctors’ visits.  Long story short Sara will be having two surgeries this summer. She will be having tubes in her ears and having her adenoids removed. She will also be having corrective surgery on her eyes.  So please keep her in your thoughts over the next couple of months.

Evan came down with a sinus infection on Sunday so he was out of sorts until Tuesday.

Sara woke up this morning feeling yucky and now has a cold as well. We are hoping she will be back to herself tomorrow.

I am ready for things to be normal again!

And so it begins.......

I walked in the door this afternoon to hear my favorite sound. My husband was blowing his beloved duck call. Sometimes I feel like we should name it and it should be our third child. We are now in full swing of preparing for the Georgia State Duck Calling Competition.  The competition is not until August but we must start practicing now.

All sarcasm aside, Chad really enjoys the duck hunting and the calling contest. I have to say that I am proud of him even though it drives me crazy. Last year was his first contest and he came in 4th place. Hopefully this year will be even better!

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was spent around the house after a crazy week.  Saturday was spent outside riding bikes, playing school, and checking on my little garden.  Sunday Gipa and Gigi came over for a visit. We had a better late than never celebration for Chad’s 30^th birthday. 

This is Sara's new favorite book. She has it almost completely memorized.

 I have to brag about my little garden. I am normally horrible with plants and I the thought of a garden scared me. However, Sara learned about gardens at school so I thought I would give it a try. So far everything is coming up great!  We will see if I can keep it alive.

We have 20 working days until summer break! We have roughly 1 month until our adult only beach trip!!! Needles to see I am a little excited! Have a great week!

Bittersweet Thursday

 The baseball season is officially over, well for this year. Last night was Region playoffs, which if they would have won they would have continued on to the state playoffs.  They had a great season and did give it their best! Here are some pictures of the past season!

 We are sad baseball season is over but ecstatic to have daddy home every night. and hoping to have more nights like these!

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a pretty busy weekend. Chad had ball game on Friday night so the kids and I had a movie a night.

Saturday night the Bates family joined us for dinner which is quickly becoming a weekly tradition. However this week the boys cooked dinner! They did a great job! Nikki and I enjoyed the break.

Sunday Sara and I headed over the mall to do a little shoe shopping. Of course Mrs. Alisha spoils my child and she ended up with a new outfit for the Hello Kitty.

Now we are getting ready for the week ahead. The countdown to summer officially begins!  We have a month until summer break! Have a great week!

 I am adventuring into the blogging world! I do not have any big ideas or plans for this little blog. I thought it would be a fun way to keep up with what is going on with our family instead of always using Facebook. After some convincing from the lifelong BFF and reading her blog daily (or when she decides to post) I thought I would give it a try. We will see how it goes!
